Emir of Kano Dethroned

Kano State Government has announced the removal of Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sunusi II.

Secretary to the state Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, made the announcement during the state executive council meeting.

Usman Alhaji also mentioned that a new Emir will soon be appointed.

There has been some sort of power tussle or showcase of who is the boss for a while now in the state . It is recorded that Justice Lewis Allagoa gave the interim order stopping the state anti-corruption commission from investigating Sanusi in an alleged land racketeering of about N2m months after another court exonerated him in a corruption case of N3.4bn brought before the court by the same anti-corruption commission a few weeks back.

The state Governor has been on his case for a while now, for your case ooo like Teni the entertainer sang it seems the government finally sucker punched the Emir the story is sure to continue…

Interestingly In 1963, Emir Sir Muhammadu Sanusi I was dethroned as a result of the power struggle between him and Ahmadu Bello.

57 years later, his son Emir Sanusi Mohammed Sanusi II is dethroned by Governor Ganduje. Source Nigeria History and facts on twitter see link below
